Thai Elephant Conservation Center

The Elephant Training Center is located in the Tung Kwian Forest of Hang Chat district about 38 km from Lampang. The Training Center was originally located in the Ban Pang La Ngao district. This is the only school in Thailand for training elephants and the first in the world. They are taught from 5 years of age how to work in the forests. The elephants train in the morning from 09.30 A.M. to 11.00 A.M. and in the afternoon from 2:00 P.M. every day.
